Benazir Bhutto, two time former prime minister of Pakistan was assassinated in Ravalpindi Pakistan, two weeks before elections, on 27 December 2007. Immediately after the assassination, Daphne has approached leaders around the world, exploring an international investigation of her murder. Bhutto's widower now President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has relied on Daphne's reputation and contacts to reach out to leaders. His letters were first corrected by Daphne's office, then signed by Zardari. Then - sent from Daphne's office plus her personal recommendation. Here is one on the right, to the President of Argentina. Another letter was sent to the President of Chile. A third to the Foreign Minister of France.
