Benazir's son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is asking from the media to allow him some space while he is studying, following his mother's assassination. A similar plea was made on behalf of Princes William and Harry, following their mother's tragic accident. In Daphne's dinners and private parties they are all mixing up...
Daphne hosted the first shot of Benazir's campaign to return to Pakistan. The party was held in one of the most leading restaurants on Madison avenue in New York. Guest list included politicians, heavy weights, CEOs of music labels, fashion designers, top attorneys... and many famous faces. But it was closed to the media and guarded by tight security. The list was handpicked by Daphne and Benazir together. Benazir explained everyone why it was so important to bring democracy back to Pakistan. Why it was New York elite's business! She charmed the guests who were invited on a short notice, and the party lasted for hours.
"High Politics":
Turkish ambassador to the UN was one of the only two ambassadors invited to the private dinner party, hosted by Daphne. That dinner marked the beginning of Benazir's campaign to return to Pakistan!
The ambassador who spent, some private time with Benazir and Asif had an ongoing communication with Benazir and her husband for almost two years. Even when President Pervez Musharraf was the darling of the West (he even wooed Daphne while giving her the only interview with his wife and mother at home) and made sure that officials would avoid meeting with his opponent Bhutto - the Turkish ambassador kept an interesting communication line. He was captured on camera with Benazir, Asif and Daphne just weeks before...
