Yosi Harel, the legendary captain of EXODUS, has died after a long battle with cancer. Yossi was played by Paul Newman, in the famous film, which was filmed in Daphne's family home in Israel.
Yossi's nick name "THE MAN" - because he was the one who went to the Prime Minister of Israel Ben Gourion and told him about the fishy side of the spying scandal between Israel, America and Egypt.
Yossi Harel was like a second father to Daphne, as everyone knows. He told her: "It takes the same energy to produce a quarter of a kilo of nuts or quarter of a ton.... Daphne, spread your interviews around the world it is the same energy."
