Eventually - she became the spokeperson of the diet plan. Although she is still controversial among some of the royals, the "fat jokes" are gone! Daphne has conducted the first TV interview with Fergie post the "toe sucking scandal" in the 90s.
  • Albert of Monaco He used to be described - before the sex scandals and illegitimate children - as one of the most eligible bachelors in the world. But that was many pounds ago... Italian celebrity Lory del Santo bumped into the light head of Monaco recently and could not conceal her amazement about the way he has mushroomed: "At least, if he did not take his jacket off.." Daphne interviewed Albert in his lighter days.
  • Bill Clinton The former President told Daphne: "We have to invest in wellness. • Kathleen Turner The talented actress complained to Daphne: "Hollywood just cares about slim women... I am thinking to move to Europe, to Italy..." • Adnan Kashoggi The flamboyant Saudi businessman told Daphne on 2006: "I just came back from a spa. They gave us 500 calories a day only and educated us how to eat right. AL GORE
  • Al Gore is running (2007)... Al Gore looked much bigger than his VP days, when he picked an Academy Award for his documentary about global warming. However - these days he is trying to slim down! He has just been working out with Daphne at the gym. They discussed weather he intends to run for President again in 2008, or not.
  • The Nobel Prize is adding lots of fuel to this debate: Will he or won't he?
  • One thing is clear! He IS running (on the trade mill).
ASIF ALI ZARDARI
He is now (2008) the "frequeant flyer" president of Pakistan.
  • While living in New York, as many described "under Daphne's wing" he tried different diets, and exercised regularly. It was partly because of his medical condition and partly - just to keep up with Daphne and her New York / European friends.
  • After Benazir Bhutto's death Zardari who took her place looked even slimmer when Daphne spent time with him in Pakistan. He attirbuted his weighloss to, "not drinking red wine on Madison Avenue anymore". But eversince he has ballooned.
  • While explosions have become a daily affair in Pakistan under his leadership, his few remaining friends are joking, he himself may eplode one day soon.
