Princess Diana died in a car accident in the late 1990s in Paris. Diana Inquest, after a decade of her passing, concluded that she died in a car accident: It was "gross negligence" of the driver. Daphne's interviews played an important role in the Diana Report that preceded the Diana Inquest, primarily in the conclusion that it was an accident.
Daphne conducted a rare interview with Princess Diana's mother, Francis Shand Kydd (on the left: Dorchester hotel, London). They stayed in touch and Francis gave Daphne the last interview, before she died. She has never recovered from neither Diana's death nor the death of her first baby.
