When Daphne was in Turkey to interview Tansu Ciller he has asked her to interview him as well.

Because of a conflict of schedule, Daphne couldn't. Erdogan sent her a gracious letter, which won her respect!

Ever since - they have been playing this ping pong... Erdogan teasing Daphne: "Wow, in my country - you are more famous than I am... Let's do an interview!"

Daphne answering: "Would love to. But would love to include your wife!"

Erdogan - preferring to go solo, Daphne prefers to interview the duo.

This ongoing exchange has been accompanied with a sense of humour and mutual respect.
